This session highlights how intentional language modeling supports concept development and deeper thinking in young children. Educators will explore simple, everyday strategies to build vocabulary, make ideas meaningful, and strengthen learning through daily interactions.

Objectives
Understand the connection between language and thinking, recognizing how intentional language use supports concept development in young children. Identify key strategies for language modeling, including self-talk, parallel talk, expansions, and rich vocabulary use throughout the day. Facilitate concept development by using descriptive language, open-ended questions, and meaningful conversations during play and routines.
