December 2025: Understanding Developmental Screening Compliance for School Readiness Providers

Description
This technical assistance webinar is designed to guide School Readiness providers through the requirements and procedures for completing Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) in compliance with Florida’s statutory, regulatory, and contractual guidelines.

Participants will learn:
• The legal foundations of developmental screening, including Rule 6M-4.720, F.A.C., §1002.88(1)(i), F.S., and SR Provider Contract Paragraph 17
• What triggers a non-compliance notification and how it can be corrected
• How to accurately complete and submit ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2 in the SSIS system
• How to avoid common errors such as late submissions, incorrect dates, or incomplete entries
• How to manage special scenarios (e.g., children who never attended, children who withdrew before screening)
• Steps to close a non-compliance case, including completing the CAP and webinar attendance

This session is a required part of the corrective action process and aims to provide supportive, practical guidance—not punitive action. Providers will leave the session with clear next steps and tools to strengthen their internal compliance processes and better support early identification for children in their care.

Overarching Goal:
To equip School Readiness providers with the knowledge and tools necessary to accurately complete developmental screenings in compliance with state statutes and contractual requirements, ensuring timely identification and support for children’s developmental needs.
